Nicolas Gosselin, your candidate for National President of the Young Liberals of Canada. Combining leadership and experience, with a long track record in the Liberal Party of Canada, Nicolas is ready to take on the presidency of our commission and build upon the momentum of Young Liberals across Canada. Nicolas is the New Generation of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Amita Chahal

As a dedicated Young Liberal, Amita’s leadership has been defined by grit, persistence, and a commitment to the work behind the scenes. Unapologetically feminist and a proud Albertan, she carries a sense of purpose that does not bend to expectation. She understands that leadership is not given. It is earned, built, and carried, not for recognition, but for responsibility. Amita is the New Generation of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Elliott Grondin
Vice-Chair French
Elliott George Grondin is your candidate for Francophone Vice-President of the Young Liberals of Canada. Raised in rural Quebec and now living in Montreal, Elliott fully understands the complex and sometimes asymmetrical realities faced by Francophone communities across the country. He is driven by this desire to strengthen the French identity throughout the country, in our party, and in our commission. With four years of experience on the YLC executive as national communications chair, Elliott has the leadership skills needed to take the Young Liberals to the next level. Elliott is the new generation of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Nour Khouri
Women’s Rep
Nour Khouri is your candidate for women’s representative. Originally from Halifax, she is a second-year political science student at McGill University, with a minor in Global and Middle Eastern Islamic Studies. Nour serves as Vice-President of Francophone Affairs for Liberal McGill, where she helps build community spirit and leadership and mentors young women on campus. Advancing women’s issues is central to her work with the Young Liberals of Canada. In Halifax, she served on the youth committee of the Fédération des femmes acadiennes and founded a Women in STEM chapter at her high school, connecting young women with accomplished professionals and promoting meaningful representation. Nour is the new generation of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Sia Fry
Indigenous Rep
Sia is your candidate for Indigenous representative. She is an off-reserve member of Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg of northwestern Ontario and grew up in Tsi Tkarón:to (Toronto). She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Public Policy at Carleton University, where she is specializing in Indigenous Policy. She was previously an SLP intern with the Honorable Gary Anandasangaree and has since then been involved with Indigenous Language Advocacy, and climate education surrounding Indigenous language preservation. Sia is the new generation of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Boyan Boyanov
Organization Chair
Boyan Boyanov is your candidate for National Organization Chair of the Young Liberals of Canada. Boyan is a licensed paralegal and University of Toronto criminology student who serves as a regional lead for the Liberal Party of Canada (Ontario). He has directed volunteer operations and managed campaign data for leadership races, supported federal and provincial campaigns across Ontario, and worked as a caseworker in the constituency office of MP Iqwinder Gaheer. As President of the Etobicoke Centre Young Liberals, he has been working with the YLCO Membership Chair to found and encourage youth riding clubs across Ontario. Boyan is the New Generation of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Beatrix Serban
Communications Chair
Beatrix Serban is your candidate for Vice President of Communications for the Young Liberals of Canada as part of the New Generation team! Born and raised in Montreal and studying at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Beatrix brings a bilingual and national perspective to communications. Fluent in both of Canada’s official languages, she believes engaging young Canadians starts with making politics more accessible, interesting, and engaging for youth. Strong bilingual communications are essential to connecting young people from coast to coast with cultural context and background from all over Canada, making sure everyone can take part in the conversation. With communications experience at the University of Alberta Young Liberals Chapter (UAYLC) Beatrix understands how creative and fun messaging, posts, and online content can energize communities and get people excited about Canadian politics. Because politics shouldn’t feel distant or boring but should inspire the new generation to get involved!
Anastasios Stamatinos has served as chair of YLC Saskatchewan since 2024 and is excited to be a member of Nicolas Gosselin’s team and to help bring about the New Generation of the Liberal Party of Canada. Anastasios has lived in Saskatchewan his whole life, graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor Education in 2023. As National Membership Chair, Anastasios is committed to helping youth from across the country access opportunities to get involved and have their voices heard. As well, having come from the prairie provinces himself, Anastasios has heard from a great many individuals about the importance of providing equal representation to those in the prairies and making sure their voices are also heard. This is something Anastasios also believes to be of significant importance moving forward and will work to ensure people from all regions,including western Canada and elsewhere, are represented and valued. He will try his best with whatever task is put before him and will always work collaboratively with others to make sure that everyone is supported in anyway possible.

Emma Jean Neal is a first-year law student at the University of Victoria and a recent graduate of
the University of British Columbia. Her interdisciplinary background gives her a breadth of knowledge that is an asset to her core focus in politics: progressive policy.
Emma Jean’s policy strength is buttressed by over four years of experience working in the environmental NGO sector. She is currently involved in numerous climate-focused legal initiatives, further strengthening her understanding of how policy translates into action.
Emma Jean served as a UBC Young Liberals Executive member for three years. However, her value to the Young Liberals extends beyond prior involvement—she brings the ability to engage and mobilize policy-driven young people outside the traditional Young Liberal sphere.
The policy issues facing Canada are complex and consequential. She is committed to building an inclusive policy space that amplifies diverse voices and ensures that the ideas of young people do not just circulate within the organization, but meaningfully influence our nation’s politics

Jacob Greene is your candidate for National Finance Chair.
With extensive experience organizing youth engagement projects and leading Model United Nations conferences, Jacob knows how to plan, budget, and execute with precision.
As an actively engaged Liberal since 2022, Jacob has worked on numerous provincial and federal campaigns for a variety of candidates and served as the Mississauga—Erin Mills president for the Ontario Young Liberals riding club, volunteering for both provincial and federal candidates in his home city of Mississauga.
Jacob wants to serve as the YLC’s Finance Chair because he understands that strong financial management empowers the Young Liberals to run successful initiatives.

Mahmoud Ibrahim is a final year student in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Ottawa. A Canadian of Eritrean heritage, he has been actively involved in mobilizing diaspora communities and encouraging greater participation among young people from diverse backgrounds in Canada’s political life.
Mahmoud previously worked in the office of the Honourable Marci Ien during her tenure as Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth, where he supported policy research, community outreach, and constituency engagement. This experience strengthened his understanding of how public policy connects with communities across the country and reinforced his commitment to bringing more diaspora voices into political spaces.
As Chief Recording Officer, he is committed to helping create an organized and transparent environment where young Liberals from all communities can contribute ideas, stay engaged, and see their voices reflected in the work of the organization.
